Chris Barton is the founder and first CEO of Shazam, the world’s first mass-market AI application. Shazam became a global cultural phenomenon with more than two billion downloads, even inspiring a hit TV show ‘Beat Shazam,’ hosted by Jamie Foxx. In 2018, Shazam was acquired by Apple for a reported $400 million, making it Apple’s sixth largest acquisition of all-time. 

Before founding Shazam, Chris helped pioneer mobile ecosystems at Google and Dropbox. He is a three-time startup founder and the inventor of 12 patents, including one embedded in the Google search algorithm.

Today, Chris delivers keynotes to some of the world’s largest organisations on bringing impossible ideas to life, while actively bringing two of his own to reality: preventing drowning in swimming pools, and helping parents of dyslexic children reach solutions faster.
