Join us for a 3 mile ramble from the headland to Muir Beach, where we have a table booked at the Pelican Inn for refreshments. **For anyone that doesn’t want to hike, head straight to the Pelican for 12.30pm.**
This secluded cove is steeped in British seafaring history: here on the Marin Coast, Sir Francis Drake beached his “Pelican,” later renamed the Golden Hinde, some 400 years ago to claim California for Queen Elizabeth I.
Families and friends are welcome. $20 per head, GBx will cover the rest.
